Your Privacy Choices
Table of Contents
1. Overview
This page lets you control how Hail Sentinel uses website analytics. We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We also do not run any advertising or retargeting pixels on this site.
The controls on this page apply to hailsentinel.com. To manage data inside the Hail Sentinel mobile app or Business Console, sign in and use the in-product privacy controls, or contact privacy@hailsentinel.com.
2. What We Use Analytics For
We use two privacy-respecting analytics tools to understand how visitors interact with the website so we can fix broken pages and improve the product. Both run as first-party analytics — they don't share data with advertising networks.
| Tool | Purpose | Data Collected |
|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics 4 | Aggregate page views, traffic sources, and session counts | Anonymized IP, page paths, referrer, device type. Configured with Google Signals and ad personalization disabled. |
| Microsoft Clarity | Heatmaps and session recordings to find usability issues | Click positions, scroll depth, page interactions. Form input fields and password fields are auto-redacted. |
3. Opt Out of Analytics
Use the toggle below to opt out of Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity on this device. Your choice is stored in your browser's local storage and applies to this browser on this device — clearing your browser data will reset the choice.
You can also opt out at the source:
- Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on — disables GA across every site you visit.
- Microsoft Clarity terms and opt-out — see Section 5.
4. Global Privacy Control (GPC)
Hail Sentinel honors the Global Privacy Control browser signal as a valid opt-out request, as recognized by the California Privacy Protection Agency, the Colorado Attorney General, and the Connecticut Attorney General. When your browser sends a GPC signal, we automatically disable analytics on this device — no further action required.
To enable GPC, install a supported browser (Brave, Firefox, DuckDuckGo) or a browser extension that adds the signal.
5. Your Other Privacy Rights
Depending on the state you live in, you may have additional rights under state law. We honor these rights for residents of every U.S. state regardless of whether the law technically applies.
- Right to Know: Request a copy of the personal information we have about you.
- Right to Delete: Request that we delete personal information we have about you.
- Right to Correct: Request that we correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing: Hail Sentinel does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising — there is nothing to opt out of, but you can confirm by reading our Privacy Policy.
- Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information: If you use our mobile app, precise geolocation is treated as sensitive PI. We use it only to deliver the alerts you signed up for and never for advertising or profiling.
- Right to Non-Discrimination: We will never deny service, charge a different price, or provide a different level of service because you exercised a privacy right.
- Right to Appeal: If we deny a privacy request, you may appeal by replying to our denial email or contacting privacy@hailsentinel.com.
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@hailsentinel.com. We will verify your identity and respond within 45 days (with a possible 45-day extension where permitted by law). You may also designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.
