Hail Sentinel is a hail-specific weather app: it watches the storm forming near you, tells you when hail is actually going to hit your exact address, and keeps the record afterward — the size, the timing, the ground reports nearby. As of today it's available to everyone, on iOS and Android.
Two tiers ship at launch. Free is not a trial: detection accuracy is identical to Premium, and the alert that matters most — the one that tells you to take cover — is never behind a paywall. Premium adds distance: more time to see a storm coming, more ways to hear about it, and a longer memory of what's already happened at your address.

Free means: the full-accuracy detection model, the take-cover alert when hail is minutes out, and the Today/Tomorrow forecast view. Nothing about whether the app catches the storm changes with a subscription — only how much runway you get before it arrives.

Premium doesn't change whether the app sees the storm — it changes how early you hear about it, at every stage: a 7-day outlook so you can see risk building days out, a heads-up when a watch is issued or a storm starts organizing nearby, and a push as the storm actually approaches — on top of the same take-cover alert everyone gets.
